LQHBA 45th Annual Yearling Sale Kicks Off Today, August 6, In Kinder


The 2020 Louisiana Million Futurity(G1) San Lorenzo graces the cover of the 2021 LQHBA Yearling Sale. A $68,000 repurchase, San Lorenzo has earned over $1-million dollars.

ALEXANDRIA, LA—AUGUST 6, 2021—The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders' Association kicks off its annual two-day yearling sale today (Aug 6) at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder.

The 45th annual Louisiana Bred Yearling Sale will feature 587 yearlings eligible to participate in the nations #1 state bred program. Louisiana-bred horses run for more than $20 million in purse money each year.

Persons who cannot attend the sale can watch it via live streaming by CLICKING HERE. The live stream will start shortly before 10:a.m. each day.

All yearlings passing through the ring have been nominated to the $1 million 2022 LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1).

The sale will be conducted over two days again this year with the opening session getting under way at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) today, featuring Hips 1 thru 294. Saturday's second session, featuring Hips 295 thru 587, will begin at 10:00 a.m. (CDT).
