Champion Feature Mr Bojangles Consigned to Winter Mixed Heritage Place Sale


Two-time champion Feature Mr Bojangles will sell Friday, January 18th as Hip 362 at the Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in Oklahoma City.

VENTRESS, LA—DECEMBER 17, 2019—AQHA Racing champion Feature Mr Bojangles has been consigned to the January Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in Oklahoma City. The Grade 1 winning son of leading sire Feature Mr Jess will sell as Hip 362 in the first session on Friday, January 18.

Jumonville Farms consigned the black type sire. From limited starters, in three crops to race, Feature Mr Bojangles has sired 18 winners, 2 black type with earnings of $366,375.

His top performers include OHRA of Indiana SSA Derby runner-up Gridiron Girl B SI 110 (3 wins, $41,462), Its Crunch Time SI 96 (4 wins, $38,340), Overhauling SI 91 (2 wins, $29,190), etc. He is also the sire Deception Bay, 3rd in the Derby Amateur at the BFA World Championship Barrel Futurity.

Feature Mr Bojangles won or placed in 15 of 20 career starts, earning $899,434. He won the Rainbow Futurity(G1), The Championship at Sunland Park (G1), Hobbs America Futurity(G2), and Four Corners Futurity.

He was also second in the Zia Park Championship(G1), Lovington S.(G2) and third in the Ruidoso Derby(G1) and All American Gold Cup(G3) as well as a finalist in the Rainbow Derby(G1), Zia Park Championship(G1), Refrigerator H.(G1) and Hobbs America Derby(G3).

He was named AQHA Racing's 2011 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt and 2013 Champion Aged Stallion.

Texas A & M University checked Feature Mr Bojangles today (Dec. 17) and he is guaranteed fertile and his 'semen will ship well'.
