Domniksmiraclebaby Gets Up To Win $50,000 Flying Breed Stakes at Delta Downs

Domniksmiraclebaby, under jockey Arturo Alvarez, return winning the $50,000 Flying Breed Stakes on Saturday at Delta Downs.

VINTON, LA–JULY 16, 2022–Domniksmiraclebaby got up at the wire to defeat post time favorite San Lorenzo Dash by a head in the $50,000 Flying Breed Stakes Saturday night at Delta Downs. Gamefaceprize finishing a head back in the blanket-finish to get third.

Domniksmiraclebaby drifted out then rallied under jockey Arturo Alvarez to finish the 220 yards in :11.851 seconds, equaling a 93 speed index.  It was the fifth career win and first stakes victory for the 4-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Coronas Leaving You.

Trainer Gilberto Rosales conditions the sorrel gelding for owner CB Racing Stables. Bred in Louisiana by Nicholas Gautreaux, from the First Down Jewel mare Martinis Jewel. Domniksmiraclebaby picked up $30,000 to boost his career bankroll to $86,230.

Runner-up San Lorenzo Dash broke out under jockey David Alvarez then dueled before just missing. 

The daughter of leading sire Heza Fast Dash races for owner-breeder Rogelio Marquez, Jr. Jesus Marquez trains the 3-year-old out of San Lorenzo Eagle by One Famous Eagle. The $10,000 second-place payday boosted the multiple stakes-placed filly's earning to $66,914.

Trainer Orlando Orozco named jockey Jose Rodriguez to ride third-place finisher Gamefaceprize for owner Miguel Hernandez. The graded-stakes-placed son of Fast Prize Dash, from the Game Patriot mare Baby This Girls Game, earned $5,500 for his effort. Jack Willie bred the $80,017 earner.

A Political Toast, Steam Rollyr, Sheza Fast Blood, Mp Sixty Silky, Red Face Rogue, Jess Louisiana and Kp Prospect completed the field.
