Ss Classyjess Wins One of Three $15,000 Allowances On Louisiana Downs Wednesday Card

BOSSIER CITY, LA—MARCH 2, 2022—Louisiana Downs hosted three $15,000 Allowance races on their seven-race card Wednesday.

After coming up short in her last start February 1st at Louisiana Downs, multiple graded stakes winner Ss Classyjess got up by a neck over Tf Fearless Runaway in Wednesday's sixth race, a $15,000 Allowance for 3-Year-Old & Ups going 110 yards.

Jockey Ricardo Hernandez, Jr. rode Ss Classyjess to a :07.01 clocking to earn a 95 speed index over a "fast" racing surface. It was the 20th career win for the 5-year-old daughter of multiple stake sire Rock Solid Jess.

Conditioned by Jose Carrizales and owned by Edgar Rosales, Ss Classyjess won seven races in 2021 including the Miss Sam Houston Stakes, Gillespie County Fair Sprint Stakes, LipChip LLC Stakes and Yellow Rose of Texas Stakes.

Bred by Ronnie Stewart and Double S Farm, from the Royal Shake Em mare High Class Broad, the Texas-bred used today's $6,600 win purse to increase her lifetime bankroll to $446,656.

Tf Fearless Runaway, making only her second start as a 3-yaer-old, earned $3,000 for finishing second. Rosendo Valdez, Jr. trains the daughter of multiple stakes winner Sir Runaway Dash for owner James Cardenas. Third in the Louisiana Million Invitational last year, Tf Fearless Runaway was bred by Tate Farms from the Jess Louisiana Blue mare Freda Blue. David Alvarez rode the $46,580 earner.

CB Racing Stables' Apolitical Toast finished three-quarters back to ern $1,650 for third. Gilberto Rosales sent out the Apollitical Jess 5-year-old earner of $35,390. Arturo Alvarez rode the Gene Cox Louisiana-bred out of Princess Toast by Toast To Dash.

Pocket Pony, Jj Chris S Angela and Firefighter Captain completed the field.

Frisco Candy Man, under jockey Arturo Alvarez, won the first $15,000 allowance on Wednesday card, Race 3, for owner-trainer Jacobo Mejia. It was the fifth career win and first start of the year for the 5-year-old son of Cartels Candy Man.

Frisco Candy Man drew off to a three length lead then held on to with by three-quarters while completing the 870 yard race in :47.497 seconds.

Bennie Irvin and Jimmy Williams bred the $48,534 earner in Oklahoma from the Dark Lightning (TB) mare Tee N Me.

Getting Some Of That was moved to second-place after post-time favorite Midnight Biscuit impeded foes in the race.

Robert Meche owns-and-trains Getting Some Of That, a daughter of multiple stakes sire Coronas Leaving You form the Square Eddie (TB) mare Eddies Curl (TB). Wade Loup bred the $34,700 earner in Louisiana. Russell Leblanc was riding.

Princess Classic picked up $1,650 after moving into the show position. Jockey Floriberto Maldonado rode the Wonder Boy Perry mare for owner-trainer and breeder Jacobo Mejia. The Texas-bred 4-yaer-old out of Killistos Classic (TB) by Time Bandit (TB) has earned $2,420.

Completing the official order of finish were Won Cc, Zoomingprincezydeco and Midnight Biscuit.

Ms Red Hot Patriot defeated post time favorite Bjs Magic Fantasy by a neck in Race 4, a 350 yard $15,000 Allowance for 3-year-olds & Up who have never won three races.

Jockey Arturo Alvarez rode the daughter of multiple stakes sire Jet Black Patriot to a :17.841 clocking, equaling an 89 speed index, for owner CB Racing Stables. Gilberto Rosales is the trainer.

The Louisiana-bred 4-year-old pocketed $9,000 in her third career win to increase her earnings total to $32,280. Errol Kendall Martin bred the chestnut filly from the Andalay Get mare Mita Jenny.

Runner-up Bjs Magic Fantasy put in a strong finish under jockey Everardo Rodriguez to earn $3,000 for second. Trainer Orlando Orozco trains the 4-year-old son of Ruidoso Futurity(G1) winner Okey Dokey Fantasy for owner Esmeralda Orozco. Bred by Bessie Lea Jeane, from the First To Shine mare Magic Shine, Bjs Magic Fantasy has banked $32,240 in nine career starts.

Freighttrain Game finished three-quarters back to earn $1,650 for owner Two The Max Investments LLC. Vann Haywood trains the Freighttrain B 3-year-old bred by Grant farms LLC. Gilbert Ortiz has the riding call on the $31,949 earner out of Game Snowlady by Game Patriot.

Jj Coronas Star and Zoom N Outside completed the field. Luke Chapter Fifteen was scratched.
