Sw The Redeemer Dominates Alex Picov Memorial Futurity Trials

AJAX, ONT—OCTOBER 6, 2021—Coming off a maiden win on August 11th at Ajax Downs, Sw The Redeemer rolled to a 1-¾ length win in the first of two trial races conducted today (Oct. 6) for the Alex Picov Memorial Futurity also at Ajax Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Ontario, Canada raceway on Wednesday, October 27th to vie for the winner's share a $100,000-added purse going 400 yards.

Under jockey Ricardo Moreno, Sw The Redeemer was an easy winner over fellow qualifier Eye Love For Candy. The Oklahoma-bred son of a leading third-crop sire Hes Relentless completed the 400 yards in :20.288 seconds, with an 11 mph tailwind, to establish the fastest time of the day.

Trainer Jason Pascoe saddled the brown gelding for owner Milena Kwiecien. Sw The Redeemer has compiled a (7) 2-2-1 record and banked $33,774.

Second in the MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity at Canterbury in July, Sw The Redeemer was bred by Sherry Wingfield from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Rockin Miss Kitty.

In just his second career start Lethal Tres Seis was a half-length winner in the second trial under jockey Cory Spataro to get the second fastest clocking of :20.306 seconds with an 11 mph trial. The Oklahoma-bred son of leading sire Tres Seis kept his record a perfect 2-for-2 after breaking his maiden at Ajax September 1st.

Michelle Woodley conditions the $28,000 Heritage Place September Yearling Sale graduate for owner Richard Wincikaby. Terry and Irene Stennett bred the bay colt from the Corona Cartel Lethal Cartel.
