Trump My Record Cruises To Top Qualifying Time For Firecracker Derby At Delta Downs

The final trial produced the fastest time as Gilbert Pacheco III’s Trump My Record stopped the clock in a time of :19.497 seconds while running over a fast track. That time produced a speed index of 98.
The win by Trump My Record marked the 10th of his 12-race career and added another $4,200 to his staggering bankroll, which now totals $801,137. The win was also his fourth in a row. The grade I winning runner was ridden to victory by Eddie Sanchez, who got a leg up from trainer Jose Luis Sanchez III.
Bred in Texas by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP, Trump My Record is a 3-year-old bay gelding by a leading second-crop sire Apollitical Blood, out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Breck N Records.

Delta Downs will close out its race week on Saturday night with another 10-race program scheduled to kick off at 6:15 pm CT. Saturday’s card will feature eight trials to qualify 10 horses for this year’s $371,415 Firecracker Futurity (G2), which will also be contested on August 15.
