JLS Dashn And Zoomn Gets Fifth Straight While Setting Top Mardi Gras Derby Trial Time

The 10 fastest Louisiana-bred qualifiers, from the four trial races contested, will return to Louisana Downs on Saturday, March 14 and vie over the 400 yard course for the winner's share of the purse worth $42,254.
Coming off back-to-back stakes wins that include the $1 million LQHBA Breeders' Futurity last November and the Billy Montgomery LAD Stakes on January 17, Jls Dashn And Zoomn completed the 400 yards over a muddy sealed racecourse in :19.543 seconds, earning a 105 speed index.
Brenda Foster conditions the Sir Runaway Dash 3-year-old for owner J and Y Racing. Jls-Speedhorse Ranch, Inc. bred the gelding from the Shazoom mare Shaken Thru Zoom. His current record stands at (10) 6-1-0 with $487,510 in earnings.

Gerald Libersat's homebred Dashin With Chrome was a half-length winner for trainer Kevin Broussard in the final trial while posting the third fastest clocking of :19.870 seconds, a 96 speed index. Donald Watson had the riding call aboard the Jumpn gelding out of Ms Dashin Chivato, by Dash To Chivato. Also lightly race, Dashin With Chrome has won half of his six career starts and made a big jump from second at a $10,000 claiming tag last month to make the Mardi Gras Derby final today.
Game Hi kept her 3-year-old a record perfect at 2-for2 with a nose win over Shes A Fast Dash in the third trial. Ridden by jockey David Alvarez, the Game Patriot filly recorded the fourth fastest time of :19.880 seconds, a 96 speed index. Martin Trejo conditions the brown miss for owner Alvaro Perez. Bred by Janelle Simon, Game Hi is out of the Jazzing Hi mare Jazzing Linda.
