Patty Wagon Train Scores Third Consecutive Win After Her Victory In The $50,000 Audubon Stakes

Arturo Alvarez pilots Patty Wagon Train to a gate-to-wire 1 1/4-length win in the $50,000 Audubon Stakes at Delta Downs on Saturday.

VINTON, LA–SEPTEMBER 2, 2023–Favored To Win, Patty Wagon Train defeats eight Louisiana bred fillies, crossing the finish line 1 1/4-lengths ahead of Jeg Fascination in the $50,000 Audubon Stakes at Delta Downs on Saturday.

Arturo Alvarez guides Patty Wagon Train, leading from gate-to-wire, to her fourth career victory in :16.571 seconds, clocking a 97 speed index. The three-year-old Guillermo Martinez trained filly’s 330-yard finish paid $7.00 to win on 6/4 odds.

Patty Wagon Train has four career wins and the $30,000 check from tonight’s stakes increased her earnings to $81,490.

Jeg Fascination, ridden by Everardo Rodriguez, wins the nod for second over Miss Pilotos Train after a photo finish. The eight-time stakes finalist has three career wins with $118,862 in the bank. 

Trainer Jose Espinosa conditions Jeg Fascination for owner/breeder Jesus Eden Garza. The daughter of Freighttrain B is out of Ja Fascination by Mr Jess Perry. 

Miss Pilotos Train placed third a nose behind Jeg Fascination with Ricardo Hernandez, Jr. in the irons. The daughter of Bp wagon Train has three career wins with $55,180 in lifetime earnings.

Bred and owned by Mike Inscore, Miss Pilotos Train is out of Pilotos Fast Dash by Mr Piloto. She is trained by Ray Robbins.

The remaining order of finish is Miss Apolitical, Jes winning Cartel, Louisiana Pretty, Rf Debs Dash N Blue, Mrs Kennedy Tlc and Chartreuse Blue.
