Heza Fast Dash Sires Trifecta in Treme Stakes, Tf Eyes R Struttin Wins Audubon

NEW ORLEANS, LA—AUGUST 16, 2015—Leading Louisiana sire Heza Fast Dash sired the 1-2-3 finishers in Sunday's $50,000 Treme Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course on Sunday. The New Orleans racetrack carded two stakes on their second day of the 2015 live racing Quarter Horse meet.

Jes A Fast Dasher Scores in Treme Stakes

Only a neck, head and a neck separated Jes A Fast Dasher, Heza Louisiana Dash and Dashacrossyourmind at the wire in the $50,000 Treme Stakes Sunday afternoon at the Fair Grounds. Leading sire Heza Fast Dash sired the trio of 3-year-old runners.

Ridden by jockey Lucas Constantin, Jes A Fast Dasher completed the 350 yards in :17.597 seconds, a 92 speed index on a wet fast track into a 5 mph headwind and showers.

Kenneth Roberts, Sr. conditions the homebred for owner/breeder Tony Doughtie. Out of the Game Patriot mare Jes A Game, Jes A Fast Dasher picked up $30,000 for the victory to boost his earnings mark to $407,872. The super consistent runner has won seven of 10 career starts and is undefeated in three outs this season.

Roberts also conditions runner-up Heza Louisiana Dash for owner T M Ranch. Bred by Jumonville Farms and Burnett Ranch, Heza Louisiana Dash is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Eyejesslovelouisiana. The multiple stakes-placed gelding earned $10,000 to bring his bankroll to nearly $90,000. Gilbert Ortiz had the riding call.

Heza Fast Dash's Dashacrossyourmind races for owner Brock Broussard and Jacque Bourque. Trained by Kevin Broussard and ridden by Donald Watson the bay colt earned $5,500 for the effort. Also a stakes winner, Dashacrossyourmind was bred by T. Rogers and T.G. Fontenot MD from the Mr Eye Opener mare Doievercrossyourmind. He has earned $88,848.

Tm Dees Prize finished fourth followed by a dead-heath for fifth between Jls Dashn And Zoomin and Icanonlyemagine. Louisiana Legends, Louisana Six Shooter and Louisiana Jambalaya completed the field. Zoomin For Bugs was scratched.

Tf Eyes R Struttin Holds On in Audubon Stakes

Never leading by more than a neck, Tf Eyes R Struttin went wire-to-wire in the $50,000 Audubon Stakes Sunday at Fair Grounds Race Course. The 4-year-old daughter of Struttin To Beduino held off a rally from Bipty Dash to win by a neck. Embrjo Star finished another head back in third.

Lanny Keith saddled the multiple stakes winner for owner Louis Johnson, Jr. Bred by Steve Tate and ridden by Raul Ramirez, Jr., the sorrel filly covered the 350 yards in :17.623 seconds into a 4 mph headwind over a wet fast racetrack.

The $30,000 winner's purse brings Tf Eyes R Struttin's bankroll to over $160,000. The eight-time winner is out of Eyes R Special, by Mr Eye Opener.

Multiple graded stakes winner Bipty Dash boosted her earnings total to $276,646 after collecting $10,000 for the runner-up position in the Audubon on Sunday. Lanny Keith trains the daughter of Heza Fast Dash for Ivan Alford and Marty Long. Israel Flores bred Bipty Dash from the Kentucky Jazz thoroughbred mare Bipity Jazz. Alfonso Lujan was up.

Ridden by jockey Saul Ramirez, Jr., Embrujo Star didn't have enough late and had to settle for the $5,500 third place check. Trey Ellis saddled the 3-year-old daughter of Embrujo Fg from the Toast To Dash mare Alas Toast. Also a graded stakes winner the sorrel filly races for owner Hubert Vestal. Gabrial Lewis is the breeder.

Allizoom, Wheres Mom, Bellas Leaving You, Little Blue Dove, Cameron Game, Sheza Fast Beach and Miss Runaway Dash completed the field. Editor's note: Photos of the races will be posted when they become available from the track photographer.
