RF Fast Dash N Train, Gold Gun Z Headline Saturday's LQHBA Sale Futurity Trials

NEW ORLEANS, LA–AUGUST 21, 2024–Graded stakes winners RF Fast Dash N Train and Gold Gun Z are two of the 87 state-bred juveniles entered in Saturday's 350-yard Louisiana QHBA Sale Futurity (RG1) trials at Fair Grounds Racecourse in New Orleans.
The 10 fastest qualifiers from Saturday's 10 trials will meet on September 14, $550,714 LQHBA Sale Futurity final. The winner will earn $247,821.
RF Fast Dash N Train is a bay daughter of Freighttrain B trained by Juan Diaz Jr. for owner Jaime Cardenas. A $57,000 purchase at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale, the filly has earned $157,763 from four races, and her three wins include a head victory in the 330-yard, $291,000 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) for state-bred juvenile fillies at Delta Downs on May 24.
RF Fast Dash N Train drew post 8 and will be ridden by Victor Urieta Jr. in the fourth heat.
Gold Gun Z is a bay son of first-crop stallion Gold Heart Eagle V trained by Jose Espinosa for owner Party Tyme Racing. A $122,000 buy at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale, the gelding has won two of his three outs -- including the May 25, $292,000 Louisiana Breeders' Laddie Futurity (RG2) for state-bred colts and geldings at Delta Downs -- and he has banked $153,066.
Gold Gun Z drew post 5 and will be ridden by Guadalupe Lucio Jr. in the 10th trial.
