Special Wild Train B is Morning-Line Choice for Mardi Gras Oaks

BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 26, 2024–Special Wild Train B, a daughter of Freighttrain B leased by Bobby D. Cox, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for Friday's 400-yard, $101,418 Mardi Gras Oaks (R) for state-bred 3-year-old fillies at Louisiana Downs.
Trained by Roy Roberts, Special Wild Train B is the third-fastest qualifier from four Mardi Gras Oaks trials contested on March 6. The filly has earned $484,720 from 10 races, and she ended her juvenile campaign with a half-length victory in Louisiana's richest Quarter Horse race, the December 16, $1-million LQHBA Million Futurity (RG1) at Evangeline Downs.
Special Wild Train B drew post 6 and will be ridden by Arnulfo Gutierrez.
