Ten Juveniles Entered in De Saix Stakes


Grade 2 placed JL Apollitical Miss will be looking her first black type win n Friday's 330-yard, $25,000 De Saix Stakes at Delta downs.

Ten 2-year-olds, headed by morning-line favorite JL Apollitical Miss, are entered in Friday's 330-yard, $25,000 De Saix Stakes at Delta downs.

JL Apollitical Miss will be making her first start since July 9, when the gray daughter of Apollitical Blood ran second, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner One Fine V, in the 350-yard, $306,000 Firecracker Futurity (G2) at Delta Downs. An earner of $66,597 from four starts, the filly is trained by Josue Ponce for owner Josefina Guzman.

JL Apollitical Miss drew post 8 and will be ridden by Victor Urieta Jr. Her nine opponents include Dania Castellanos' Konnan Cartel, a gelded son of Five Bar Cartel trained by Kenneth Roberts Sr. Konnan Cartel will be shortening in distance off of his third-place finish, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner San Lorenzo Jet, in the 350-yard, $744,000 Lee Berwick Futurity (RG1) at Delta Downs on July 16.

Konnan Cartel drew the rail post and will be ridden by Ubaldo Luna.
