Sarahs Patriot, a 4-year-old daughter of Game Patriot racing for Gilbert Matthews, is one of eight runners entered in Friday's 870-yard, 25,000 Virgil Bond Stakes at Delta Downs.

Sarahs Patriot has won both of her 870-yard starts, and she made her season debut with a 2 1/4-length in an 870-yard, $25,000 non-winners-of-three allowance for Louisiana-breds at Delta Downs on May 14. The mare drew post 2 and will be ridden by Juan F. Garcia Jr. for trainer Philip Calais.

Calais will also send out contender Jess Louisiana Boo, a homebred 7-year-old son of champion Jess Louisiana Blue owned by Paul Daigle. Jess Louisiana Blue will be making his first official start in more than seven months, but he ended his 6-year-old season with a three-quarter length victory in the October 30, 870-yard Races N Aces Stakes (R) at Evangeline Downs.

Jess Louisiana Boo drew post 8 and will be ridden by Randy Edison.
