$550,000 Sale Graduate Heads 13 Mardi Gras Training Races on Friday


On Friday, Louisiana Downs will host 13 training races for state-bred 2-year-olds eligible for the Mardi Gars Futurity(RG2).

BOSSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 28, 2020—Fm Five Fifty Rock, a $550,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale Graduate, will head 13 schooling races, for 58 Louisiana-breds nominated to the $100,000-added Mardi Gras Futurity (RG1), on Friday at Louisiana Downs.

The races will begin at 11:00 AM (CDT) but are not expected to be live-streamed. However, on Friday afternoon, a complete recap on each of the 220-yard races will be posted on StallioneSearch.com and shared on LQHBA.com as well.

Leading trainer Jose Sanchez III will be saddle Fm Five Fifty Rock for owner Jose Fabina Hernandez in the last of 13 schooling races on Friday. Eddie Sanchez has been named to ride the son of Bp Wagon Train from the 6th post.

The $550,000 colt is out of the Streakin La Jolla mare A Real Tornado, fourth in the Delta Downs Louisiana Breeders' Derby(RG3) and a sister to Grade 3 winner Streakin Latocha. This is the family of three-time champion All American Futurity winner Real Wind.

Jess Louisiana Dash, a $25,000 LQHBA Sale graduate, by leading sire Heza Fast Dash, will start from the inside rail in Race 13 for owner Eleazar Martinez and trainer Rodolfo Sanchez. Ubaldo Luna will ride the sister to half-a-million dollar multiple stakes winner Heza Louisiana Dash. This is the family of leading sire Jess Louisiana Blue.

Blue Line In The Sky, a $30,000 LQHBA Yearling graduate, will start in Race 7 for owner Rojas Racing Stables LLC. Ebelyn Rojas will saddled with Eddie Martinez getting the riding call aboard the Jess Louisiana Blue sister to stakes winner Louisiana Jewels. The first dam is the stakes winner Jewels Fortune, the dam of five black-type runners.

Another $30,000 sale graduate, Fast Dash Group, will make his first unofficial start under jockey Eddie Sanchez in Race 8. Jose Sanchez III trains the Heza Fast Dash colt for owners Wilfrido Garcia and Tykhe Racing LLC. The bay colt, out of Rita Regent by Gold Regent (TB), sold earlier in the sale on day 1. He is a brother to AQHA Racing Champion Distance Horse B And G Fast Dash and restricted Grade 3 winner La Mos Chingono. This is the family of champion Panther Mountain.
