The Mighty Moose Draws Post 7 for $283,715 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity

VINTON, LA—MAY 15, 2018—The Mighty Moose, a graded stakes placed Fast Prize Dash filly owned by Dick Bush Racing LLC, is one of 10 state-bred 2-year-old fillies entered back in Friday’s 330-yard, $283,715 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.
Trained by Roberto Madrigal, The Mighty Moose has earned $42,447 from three races, and her resume includes a third-place finish in the 300-yard, $310,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) for Louisiana-breds at Louisiana Downs on March 17. The filly drew post 7 and will be ridden by Noe Castaneda.
Rogue One, a sorrel daughter of Heza Fast Dash trained by Martin Trejo for owner Rogue Equine LLC, drew post 2 and will be ridden by Everardo Rodriguez. The fastest qualifier, the filly made her debut with a three-quarter length victory in the fourth of 13 trials on April 27.
