Running Game Patriot Returns in Louisiana Purchase Stakes

VINTON, LA—MAY 2, 2016—Pete Scarmardo’s Running Game Patriot is one of eight state-bred sprinters entered in Friday’s 350-yard, $40,000 Louisiana Purchase Stakes (R) at Delta Downs.
Trained by Dave Correll, Running Game Patriot is a 4-year-old bay son of Game Patriot who is coming off of a Louisiana Downs winter campaign in which he finished second in the February 27, 350-yard Mr Jess Perry Stakes (R) and January 30, 350-yard Swift Stakes. The gelding drew post 3 and will be ridden by Alfonso Lujan.
Oak Hill Streak, a 4-year-old Heza Fast Dash mare trained by John Stinebaugh for owner Vanessa Bartoo, will be making her first start since February 12, when she scored a half-length victory in a 350-yard, $18,500 non-winners-of-four allowance at Hialeah Park. Oak Hill Streak drew post 2 and will be ridden by Gilbert Ortiz.
The Louisiana Purchase Stakes is restricted to state-breds who have not won a stakes race. The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments--
