Heza Fast Rogue Seeks First Win of Season in Mid-City Stakes

NEW ORLEANS, LA—AUGUST 25, 2015—Heza Fast Rogue drew post 9 for Saturday’s 400-yard, $50,000 Mid-City Stakes (R), one of two Quarter Horse stakes to be run at Fair Grounds Race Course.
Trained by Kevin Broussard for owners Brock Broussard and Jacque Bourque, Heza Fast Rogue has been knocking on the door all season against stakes company. The 4-year-old Heza Fast Dash stallion has earned $41,350 from seven starts, and he is coming off of a second-place finish at odds of 38-1 in the 440-yard, $100,000 Louisiana Classic Stakes (RG2) at Delta Downs on July 11.
Donald Watson will ride Heza Fast Rouge in the Mid-City.

Joan Rood’s Moonflash Garden, a brown daughter of champion First Moonflash trained by Randy Hebert, drew post 4. The filly will be making her first start since the Fourth of July, when she ran fourth, 1 1/4 lengths behind winner Not Pretty Perry, in the 350-yard, $318,000 Firecracker Futurity (G2) at Delta Downs.
Moonflash Garden has earned $34,989 from four outs. Armando Ramirez will ride the filly in the De Saix.
