Full Field of 10 Entered Back in Louisiana Breeders’ Laddie Futurity

Fastest qualifier Shades Of Buck will face a full field in Saturday's $283,382 Louisiana Breeders’ Laddie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.

VINTON, LA—MAY 13, 2015—A full field of 10 state-bred 2-year-olds, topped by fastest qualifier Shades Of Buck, has been entered back in Saturday’s 330-yard, $283,382 Louisiana Breeders’ Laddie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.

A $7,500 buy at last year’s Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders’ Association Yearling Sale, Shades Of Buck broke his maiden with a one-length victory in the fifth of 14 trials on April 25. The gelded son of Game Patriot is trained by Miguel Rodriguez for owner Juan A. Medina.

Shades Of Buck drew post 8 and will be ridden by Randy Edison in Saturday’s final.

Guerras Racing Stable’s Streakin Bye U, a finalist in the March 14, $301,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) at Louisiana Downs, drew post 10 and will be ridden by Saul Ramirez Jr. for trainer Octavio Saenz Jr. The Heza Fast Dash gelding has earned $29,725 from three starts.
