Scooter Prize Returns in Louisiana Downs’ Party Girl Stakes

BOOSIER CITY, LA—-JANUARY 26, 2015—Ana Alvidrez’s Scooter Prize, a graded stakes winning 4-year-old daughter of First Prize Perry, is one of eight state-bred distaffers entered in Saturday’s 350-yard, $25,000 Party Girl Stakes (R) at Louisiana Downs.
Trained by Martin Trejo, Scooter Prize is coming off of a sophomore season in which she earned $127,858 from 11 starts, and her four wins included a nose victory in the 400-yard, $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Derby (RG2) at Fair Grounds on December 13. Armando Ramirez will ride the mare in the Party Girl Stakes.
Alvidrez and Trejo will also be represented by Patriots Toast, a multiple stakes winning 6-year-old Game Patriot mare. Campaigned at Evangeline Downs last fall, Patriots Toast scored a half-length win in the 350-yard, $30,000 Billy Montgomery Stakes (R) on October 4.
David Alvarez has been named to ride the mare on Saturday.
