Leading First-Crop Sire Gold Heart Eagle V Gets First Stakes Winner


Leading first-crop sire of winners, Gold Heart Eagle V sired his first graded stakes winner on Saturday.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA–MAY 25, 2024–Leading first-crop sire of winners Gold Heart Eagle V got his first stakes winner Saturday when Gold Gun Z won the $291,932 restricted Grade 2 Laddie Futurity at Delta Downs.

Racing for owner Party Tyme Racing, Gold Gun Z completed the 330 yards in 16.850 seconds, a 91-speed index, keeping his 2-for-2 record perfect while pocketing $145,966 for the effort. Jose Espinosa trains, and Guadalupe Lucio, Jr. had the riding call.

Slash Z Quarter Horses bred the $122,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate from the Tres Seis mare Cf Smokin Gun.
