Grade 3 First Down Vike To Louisiana in 2015


First Down Vike will stand the 2015 season at Louisiana Center For Equine Reproduction near Opelousas.

OPELOUSAS, LA—DECEMBER 19, 2014—Sunflower Supply Co.'s Grade 3 son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash, First Down Vike SI 97, will stand the 2015 season at Louisiana Center For Equine Reproduction near Opelousas. His fee has been set at $750.

First Down Vike won or placed in four races and earned $28,720. He was third in the Oklahoma Distance Challenge(G3) and finalist in the Oklahoma Derby(G3) and the Altoona Derby(G3).

From a limited number of starters in two crops to reach racing age, First Down Vike has sired three winners(75%) with average earnings per starter of $13,256. His top performers include Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge finalist Fernando SI 92 (3 wins to 3, 2014, $33,564), two-time futurity finalist Malonnie SI 88 (2 wins at 2, 2014), etc.
