LQHBA Yearling Sale Catalogs Drop

Ms. Peggy Williams has a big smile at the LQHBA office today as over 6,400 pounds of yearling sale catalogs were processed and out the door.

ALEXANDRIA, LA—JULY 1, 2019—Hard copies of the 2019 LQHBA Yearling Sale hit the postal service today. The 43rd annual sale will be held August 1 thru 3 at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana.

"Peggy Williams, Sony Melder and Haley Williams were joined by many LQHBA member volunteers who worked throughout Monday to get the 2019 catalog in the mail," LQHBA Executive Director Bruce Salard said.

The 2019 sale will feature 625 yearlings eligible to participate in the nations #1 state bred program. Louisiana-bred horses run for more than $20 million in purse money each year with a guaranteed minimum 148 Quarter Horse race days. All yearlings passing through the ring have been nominated to the $1 million 2020 LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1).
