UNIVERSAL CITY, CA—MAY 17, 2019—The four finalists for Season 16 of “The Voice” will perform live for America’s vote one last time on Monday (May 20) before the winner is crowned on Tuesday.

Louisiana native Gyth Rigdon, the son of American Quarter Horse trainer Paul Rigdon, is one of those four finalists on this year's four-time Emmy Award-winning television show on NBC.

Coach Blake Shelton has dominated the season with three of his artists, Gyth, Dexter Roberts and Andrew Sevener all competing in the finale. Coach John Legend has one artist singing for the title in Maelyn Jarmon. Two-time defending champion Kelly Clarkson is without a finalist for the first time since she joined the show and three-time coaching champ Adam Levine has been out of contention since the Top 8.

Gyth is no stranger to hard work after growing up on his family's racehorse farm. A typical morning started at 5 a.m., with feeding, washing and training 27 horses. Gyth found his musical calling at 15, when he joined the family campfire jam session.

At 17, his father booked him a three-hour show at a biker bar - and he has been playing gigs there ever since. Gyth took his show on the road for a few years and came back a hometown hero after sharing the stage with artists such as Jake Owen and Gary Allen. Gyth hopes "The Voice" will help launch his music career to the next level. Paul Rigdon has saddled more than 1,500 starters that have earned more than $2.5 million in their careers. Gyth says his dad was instrumental in encouraging his music career dream.

"My dad has been there since day one," Gyth wrote on his website. "I'm proud to say that he has supported me every step of the way. He has never doubted me and always pushed me to work harder. My dad is my hero."

Gyth’s music is a mix of southern rock, country and soul. He has two albums, titled "When I’m Gone" (2018) and "Where I Began" (2016). His singles include, among others, the song "Body Language."

"The Voice" finale airs on NBC on Monday at 8/7c and winner will be announced on Tuesday's show 9/8c.

Quarter Horse fans are urged to tune in and support Gyth in his quest to win the "The Voice"!
