The race was the second richest horse race ever run at the Fair Ground in its storied 134-year history. A field of ten runners went to post for the 350-yard event.

After becoming fractious in the starting gate, Jeremy Derozin trained San Lorenzo Firulais, dominated the richest LQHBA Sale Futurity in history on Saturday, winning by one length with jockey Martin Osuna aboard.
