LQHBA To Kick-Off 48th Annual Louisiana Bred Yearling Sale On Friday


The 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, August 2-3, at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana.

KINDER, LA–AUGUST 1, 2024–The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association (LQHBA) will kick off its two-day annual sale on Friday, August 2, in Kinder, Louisiana.

The sale on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3, will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) at the Coushatta Casino Resort.

Hips 1 through 243 will be featured in session one on Friday, and hips 244 through 485 will be featured in session two on Saturday.

Persons unable to attend the sale may watch it live on the association's website, lqhba.com. Log on to the website and look for the LQHBA 2024 Yearling Sale at the top of the page. The broadcast will "Go Live" approximately 15 minutes before the start of the sale.

NO ONLINE BIDDING will be accepted due to a one-minute video delay in the live stream.

All yearlings selling are accredited Louisiana-bred and are nominated to the $1,000,0000 LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1), which will be run at Evangeline Downs in December 2025.

Accredited Louisiana Bred 2-year-olds have more than $3.2 million in stakes races available during their juvenile year.

The LQHBA office in Alexandria will be closed until Tuesday, August 6, at 8:00 a.m. so employees can work the sale in Kinder.
