Louisiana Downs Extra Official Gate Works Offered Wednesday

BOOSIER CITY, LA–FEBRUARY 13, 2024–Track officials at Louisiana Downs announced today they will conduct an extra day of official 220 works from the gate tomorrow (Feb 14) at the Boosier City facility.

Official works normally done on Fridays, after the break (9:00 to 10:300 a.m.), but due to cancellation of Mardi Gras training races after the 9th Race on Saturday due to weather conditions, the track is adding the extra day to accommodate horses that must have one gate work and one published work prior to their first start.

Trials for the restricted Grade 2 Mardi Gras Futurity will be run March 8 and 9. The $600,000-est. 300 yard final will be contested on March 30. Currently 175 state-bred 2-year-olds remain eligible to enter the trials. CLICK HERE for a complete list.
