Louisiana Downs Cancels Wednesday Race Card Due to Expected Weather Conditions

BOSSIER CITY, LA–JANUARY 16, 2024–Due to a forecast of prolonged freezing temperatures in the immediate area, Louisiana Downs Management has canceled its race card for Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

"We feel that these conditions will present traveling difficulties, as well as unsafe track conditions," Jennifer Sokol, Louisiana Downs Racing Operations Manager said in a press release. "As always, our first and foremost concern is for the safety of our human and equine athletes."

Track managment had also cancled today's (Jan 16) card late last week in anticaption of the weather conditions.
