Five Bar Jess Cartel scored his second career stakes win in Saturday's $104,332 Mardi Gras Derby at Louisiana Downs.

BOSSIER CITY, LA_APRIL 2, 2023–StallioneSearch.com was on hand at Louisiana Downs April 1st to bring StallioneSearch.com users webcast coverage of the $104,332 Mardi Gras Derby in Bossier City, Louisiana.

The 2022 LQHBA Louisiana Million Juvenile winner Five Bar Jess Cartel, who was bred in Louisiana by Gerard Hebert from the Tempting Dash mare Jess Tempting To Fly, went postward to face 9-other rivals in the $104,332 derby. 

The Mardi Gras Derby and the inaugural running of the Mardi Gras Oaks highlighted closing day of the 2023 Quarter Horse meet at Louisiana Downs.
