Funeral Services Set Monday For Elaine Pellerin Robicheaux

Funeral services are set Monday for Elaine Pellerin Robicheaux.

She is the mother of longtime LQHBA member Jude Robicheaux and grandmother of LQHBA Past President Ryan Robicheaux.

"It’s with sad hearts that we announce the loss of another patriarch, our beloved 'Granny Elaine' who passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Elaine Robicheaux set and instilled the determination and strong willed characteristic in the Robicheaux family. Her resilience and witty words are going to be greatly missed," a spokesman for the family posted on Facebook earlier this week.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday.

Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Josette Miller and Jennifer Hebert. Gift bearers will be Brittany Tabor, Kayan Broussard, and Avery Robicheaux.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Elaine was born December 18, 1937, in Breaux Bridge. After many years, she retired in Labor and Delivery as an LPN. She was devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Elaine enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo and Pokeno, and most importantly being with her family. Her boys were her life and she cherished her time with them. Elaine will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Jude P. Robicheaux (Regina), Mark B. Robicheaux (Linda), and Michael R. Robicheaux (Cheryl); grandchildren, Ryan Robicheaux (Danielle), Matthew Robicheaux (Ashley), Brittany Tabor (Jacob), Madeline Kosiba (Scott), Kayan Broussard (Quaid), Avery Robicheaux, Cameron Robicheaux, and Taylor Robicheaux (Megan); great grandchildren, Rhylan Robicheaux, Rheese Robicheaux, Rhayli Robicheaux, Blake Robicheaux, Sylvi Broussard, and Camille Tabor; and her nieces, Josette Miller (Mark) and Jennifer Hebert (Todd), and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Onezphore "Niffy" Robicheaux; parents, Felix Francis and Lorena St. Marie Pellerin; son, Stephen R. Robicheaux; sister, Jane Pellerin Hebert; and grandchild, Morgan Gabrielle Robicheaux.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Robicheaux, Matthew Robicheaux, Cameron Robicheaux, Taylor Robicheaux, Quaid Broussard, and Jacob Tabor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Dale Delhomme and Timothy Lafosso.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Warren Degatur, Jack Dale and Elaine Delhomme, and her caretakers for their love and compassion given to Elaine.
