LQHBA Cancel's 2020 Membership and Awards Banquet

Election of the LQHBA Board of Directors will be done via mail in ballot this year.

ALEXANDRIA, LA—MARCH 17, 2020—LQHBA Board of Directors announced today they voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Banquet due to concerns for the general public and its members related to guidance from National and State of Louisiana Health Officials in regard to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual banquet was scheduled for April 3rd at the Evangeline Downs Event Center in Opelousas. The annual awards banquet is always held in conjunction with voting of officers for the coming year from the LQHBA membership every year.

According to association officials the 2020 Election for their Board of Directors will be conducted. LQHBA will make an announcement later this week on steps for its members to complete voting via mail in ballot.
