Located in Vinton, Louisiana, Delta Downs will offer live racing on a Wednesday-through-Saturday schedule. Post time every night will be 6:15 p.m. (CDT). The track's lucrative stakes schedule includes the 400-yard, $200,000-est. Firecracker Derby on June 30, and the 350-yard, $275,000-est. Firecracker Futurity (G2) on July 1.
Also, the finest state-bred sprinters will be featured on Louisiana Showcase Night, July 8. Topping the Showcase schedule will be the track's richest Quarter Horse race, the 350-yard, $700,000-est. Lee Berwick Futurity (RG1) for state-bred 2-year-olds, which honors the memory of Delta Downs' founder and the AQHA president in 1969. Berwick was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders' Association Hall of Fame in 2017.
Delta Downs' opening night program features the 250-yard, $20,000 Delta Dash Stakes, and four 350-yard Old South Derby trials (see related story).
