Shes Racey Gets Second Consecutive Win In Feature Allowance Thursday at Louisiana Downs


Shes Racey, under jockey Juan Garcia, Jr., races to a 1-1/2 length in in the feature allowance race Thursday afternoon at Louisiana Downs.

BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 9, 2023–Shes Racey picked up her second win of the meet Thursday when she easily defeated a full field in an $7,000 feature allowance for non-winners of two Thursday afternoon at Louisiana Downs.

Under jockey Juan Garcia, Jr., Shes Racey went wire-to-wire over the 250 yards in :13.211, winning by 1-1/2 lengths while equaling a speed index of 101. The sorrel mare entered the race off a maiden victory at the Bossier City raceway on February 3. 

Fernando Valdez saddled the daughter of world champion sire Stoli to her second win in 16 starts for owner Oscar Edel Moreno. Jerry Windham bred the 5-year-old mare in Texas from the Shazoom mare Racey Winner. Today's $4,200 winner's purse boosted her bank roll to over $65,000.

Wagon High, under jockey Eric Reyes, finished second to pick up $1,400 for owner-breeder Jesus Molina. Janessa Muniz trains the Texas-bred daughter of Lil Kool Wagon from the Game Patriot mare High On Sissy High. The 4-year-old has earned $16,551 in 10 starts.

Tcb American Piloto finished a neck back under jockey Noe Castaneda to earn $1,210 for third. Trainer Mardonio Flores, Jr. saddled the Louisiana-homebred son of Mr Piloto for owner-breeder Teresa Bartlett. Out of the First N Kool mare American Kool, Tcb American Piloto has earned $13,090.

Mason Hunt The Moon, Mj Fast Dash, Dynasty Blood, Might B Southern, Beads At The Bar and Surprize Sheza Eagle completed the field.
