Apollitical B Snow Wins Third Straight Stake in $75,000 Louisiana Classic at Delta


Apollitical B Snow, under jockey Everardo Rodriguez, winning the $75,0000 restricted Grade 2 Louisiana Classic on Saturday at Delta Downs.

VINTON, LA—JULY 31, 2021—Delta’s leading rider, Everardo Rodriguez, earned a third win on the Saturday night card aboard Apollitical B Snow, the winner of the $75,000 Louisiana Classic Stakes.

Apollitical B Snow ($3.40) was the early leader of the 440-yard stake and could not be caught. He finished in :21.369 and earned a 104 speed index.

Rosendo Valdez, Jr. trains for owner Christopher Villatoro. He was bred by the Glinden Leger Estate, by Apollitical Blood and out of Mary Snow, by This Snow is Royal.

Apollitical B Snow is currently enjoying a three-race win streak of all stakes, starting with the Open Me A Corona (RG2) in May and continuing with the Miss Polly Classic (RG2), all at Delta.

The 4-year-old Apollitical Blood gelding has six wins in 17 starts with $159,658 earned, including the $45,000 winner’s share of the Louisiana Classic purse.

Lifeinthefastlanes closed well but could not catch the winner, finishing in second place by a length and defeating third place finisher El Predator by another length. David Alvarez was aboard the multiple graded stakes winner for trainer Kenny Roberts, Sr. and owners Jason Richards and Michael Leblanc.

In 2020-2021, she won six consecutive races, including the Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby (RG3), the LQHBA Breeders Derby (RG3) and the Vinton Stakes.

Wade Jr and Kay Loup bred the filly by Jess Louisiana Blue, out of the multiple graded stakes placed mare Pantherinthefastlane, by Panther Mountain.

El Predator was up late to gain third place. Leonardo Rodriguez had the call for trainer Manuel Macias and owner Jose Barron. Michael Zingelmann and Curtis Crenwelge bred the 4-year-old gelding by Freighttrain B and out of the Toast to Dash mare Told Ya.

El Predator is four for 20 lifetime with $87,050 earned. Most recently, he finished fourth in the Develop a Plan Stakes (RG3) at Delta earlier this month.

Completing the field were Mpshinning, Lightemupwithcharm, Ought to Go Tee, Tuckers Prize, Maggies Runaway and Achievopiloto. Hh Gailforce was scratched.
