Sheza Freighttrain T Continues to Roll in the $50,000 Flashy Hemp Stakes at Delta

Sheza Freighttrain T ($4.80) prevailed by a head over Eyeondaprize. With Rolando Pina aboard, Sheza Freighttrain T covered the 330-yard stake in :16.607 and earned a 93 speed index. Eric Long trains the 3-year-old filly for owner Patrick Richardson.

The post-time favorite is a multiple stakes winner, and her $30,000 share of the Flashy Hemp pushed her career earnings to $413,259. In 13 starts, she has eight wins and three second place finishes. As a 2-year-old, the daughter of All American Futurity(G1) sire Freighttrain B won the Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta and was second in the LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1).

She has already put together an impressive 3-year-old campaign with wins in the Delta Dash in May and the Selma Stakes at Sam Houston earlier this month.

The daughter of Freighttrain T was bred by Rusty Trahan, out of Cloning Around, by Carters Cartel.

Eyeondaprize also earned a 93 speed index in the close finish as the second favorite in the race. Everardo Rodriguez had the call for trainer Rosendo Valdez and owner Rosendo Valdez Jr.

The tables were turned two starts back when Eyeondaprize defeated Sheza Freighttrain T as the winner of the Mothers Day Stakes at Delta, one of her six lifetime wins. Eyeondaprize has now earned $89,160 in her 17 lifetime efforts.

The 4-year-old daughter of Fast Prize Jordan was bred by Daniel Trahan, out of the graded stakes placed mare Good Game Meg, by Game Patriot.

Multiple stakes placed Tee Zo rounded out the trifecta with Arturo Alvarez aboard. Lanny Keith trains for Joseph Landreneau. Bayou Stirling Equine LLC bred the filly by Tee Cos, out of Sayin the Blues, by Jess Louisiana Blue.

Tee Zo has earned $94,201 in 12 career starts. Last year, she qualified to the LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1), and the LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity (RG1). This year, she was third in the Mardi Gras Derby at Louisiana Downs.

Completing the field were Five Bar Miracles, One Sweet Filly, Wicked Blue, Sheza Jet Stream and Hh Gailforce.
