Eyesa Pilot Impressive Winner In $25,000 Party Girl Stakes at Harrah's Louisiana Downs

BOSSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 25, 2020—Racing fans had a very enjoyable Saturday, January 25 at Harrah's Louisiana Downs three Quarter Horse stakes live on-track as well as quality Thoroughbred simulcast action, most notably the Pegasus World Cup program from Gulfstream Park.

Eyesa Pilot Earns Her First Stakes Win in the $25,000 Party Girl Stakes

Eyesa Pilot, owned by Victor C. Gonzalez, became a stakes winner this afternoon as she captured the $25,000 Party Girl Stakes for accredited Louisiana-bred fillies and mares.

With Gilbert Ortiz in the irons, the 4-year-old daughter of Mr Piloto, won her third consecutive race for trainer Mardenio Flores, Jr. She had scored at the distance 250 and 110 yards last season at Evangeline Downs, and today, won the 330-yard stakes, over a fast track, in :17.008.

"She's so quick out of the gate that I told my owner I felt she could go further," said Flores. "She is such a nice mare; so gentle. We are very proud of her winning three in a row."

Sent off at odds of 10-1, Eyesa Pilot rewarded her supporters with a $20.00 win payout and improved her record to five wins from 22 starts.

Flying K Ranch LLC bred the sorrel filly from the Hail Corona mare Kelforpete.

Corona Down Perry by Coronas Leaving Your, owned by Carlos Acuna, ran second under David Alvarez, followed by Fpj Blazen Fast Ryon and Sea Yacht Dash.

Flores may consider one more start for his mare at Louisiana Downs before exploring stakes options at Delta Downs.
