Dees Jetting Diva Holds On In $112,305 Old South Futurity

Saddled by trainer Roberto Madrigal, Dees Jetting Diva covered the 330 yards in a quick :16.549 seconds, a 102 speed index. It was the second win in as many starts for the home-bred daughter of Jet Black Patriot.
Owned-and-bred in Texas by Whitetail Weld LLC, Dees Jetting Diva got away at 25-1 and returned a whopping $50.60 to win. Out of the Ivory James mare La Boreal, the brown filly picked up $56,153 to boost her earnings to nearly $60,000.
Runner-up Jessies Wicked One broke in at the start but rallied under jockey Noe Villatoro to earn $19,092 for second. Trainer Martin Rubalcava conditioned the Jess Zoomin gelding for owner Baldomero Araiza.
Lester Colomb, Jr.'s Alabama homebred Mia Jet In earned $11, 231 for finishing third. Trainer Kenneth Weeks conditions the Jet Black Patriot filly out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Pyc First Prize Mia. Luciano Duenez was riding.
Shapeshifter, Parti Wagon, Mr Coronado Cash, Senor Sueno, Heza Jess and No Jess Code completed the field. Meyhem Like Me was scratched.
