BOSSIER CITY, LA—MARCH 9, 2021—Eighty-eight 2-year-olds, all of whom will be making their career debuts, are entered in nine Harrah’s Futurity (G3) trials at Louisiana Downs on Saturday.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Saturday’s 300-yarrd heats will meet in the $75,000-added Harrah’s Futurity final on April 3.

Barbara Hieden Seber’s Ukankissmegoodby Aw, a homebred son of Kiss My Hocks and the 2-1 morning-line favorite in the third trial, drew post 10 and will be ridden by Luciano Duenez for trainer Jose A. Garcia. The colt prepped for his first lifetime out with two noteworthy workouts at Louisiana Downs, including a 220-yard drill in :11.72 on a sloppy track on February 26.

The Louisiana Cowboy, a gelded son of The Louisiana Cartel racing for Jose R. Espinosa, was a $12,000 buy at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. Trained by Jose U. Lopez, The Louisiana Cowboy prepped for his trial with a 220-yard work in :11.03, the fastest of 22 at the distance on February 22.

The Louisiana Cowboy is the 5-2 morning-line favorite in the second heat. The gelding drew post 3 and will be ridden by Everardo Rodriguez.

Bombay Shaker, a $16,000 purchase at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale, races for Bombay Shaker LLC. A gray son of Hez Our Secret, the gelding prepped for his debut with a 220-yard work from the gate on a sloppy track in :11.48, the second-fastest of 52 on February 26.
