Ruidoso Sale Yearling Heads Six Harrah's Futurity Schooling Races on Friday

Louisiana Downs has scheduled six training races on Friday for 2-year-old who remain eligible for the $250,000-est. Harrah's Entertainment Futurity(G3) trials.

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 4, 2020—Mr Perry Moon, $50,000 Ruidoso New Mexico-Bred Sale graduate, will head six 2-year-old schooling races, for Harrah's Entertainment Futurity(G3) hopefuls, at 220 yards on Friday at Louisiana Downs. First post is 11:00 AM (CST).

Trails for the Grade 3 $250,000-est. 300 yard event will be contested on Sunday, March 1 and the final will run back on Tuesday, March 18.

Last year's Harrah's Entertainment Futurity(G3) winner, Trump My Record, kicked off a career that included winning three futurities in 2019 to be named AQHA Racing's Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding.

Trainer Trey Ellis will saddle Mr Perry Moon, a brother to two stakes-horses by leading sire First Moonflash, from the 4 position in the final race (6) on Friday. John Hamilton has been named to ride the sorrel colt out of the multiple stakes-producing Mr Jess Perry mare Ms Perry Mason. The second dam is a half-sister to AQHA Champion Aged Mare Lady Juno. Adelita Lopez is the owner.

Trainer Jose Sanchez III, winner of five Mardi Gras schooling races last week at Louisiana Downs, will send out two horses in the final race including $38,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate Carburador, for owners Cruz Nava and Jose Hernandez. .

Eddie Sanchez has been named to ride the Tres Seis half-brother to six black-type winners including Grade 3 winner JD Baccarat and multiple stakes winner Tickle Ur Fancy. The second dam is former Broodmare of the Year Sizzling Lil, dam of champions Corona Kool and Corona Chick.

In Race 3 Sanchez will start the Heza Fast Dash filly Heavy Pedal from the 1 post for owner Javier De Los Santos Muzquiz. Eddie Sanchez has been named to ride the $22,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate out of Escalady, a Mr Jess Perry, a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Chivalry Sr. The second is former Broodmare of the Year Artesia by Timeto Thinkrich.
