Delta Downs Cancels Wednesday Race Card, Vals Fortune Rescheduled For July 1


Delta Downs eight-race card scheduled Wednesday, July 22 was cancled.

VINTON, LA–JUNE 23, 2022–"Management Decision" due to a major car accident on I-10 cause many gate crew members to not be able to get the track was cited for the cancellations of the Delta Downs eight-race card on Wednesday evening.

Wednesday's feature race was the $60,000 Vals Fortune-Teddy Abrams, Jr. Stakes with a $60,000 guaranteed purse.

The Vals Fortune-Teddy Abrams, Jr. Stakes has been rescheudled for Friday, July 1. The racing office is taking entries today (June 23).

Tonight's (June 23) eight race card will include three trials for the $100,000 Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby(RG3) (see related story). First post is 6:15 p.m. The derby trials will be run as races 5 thru 7.

Qualifiers for the Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby can be found on StallioneSearch.com shortly after the final trial in the QUALIFIERS SECTION. The Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby final will be contested on the live 2022 QH meet's closing night Saturday, July 16.
