Tuckers Prize Gets Up In Saturday Feature Allowance at Louisiana Downs


Tuckers Prize (#7) gets up over One Fast Perry (#1) and El Predator (#6) in Saturday's $15,000 feature Allowance at Louisiana Downs.

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 27, 2021—Graded stakes winner Tuckers Prize made a late bid to pick up his 10th career win on Saturday when he defeated One Fast Perry by a neck in Saturday's $15,000 feature Allowance at Louisiana Downs.

Under jockey Ubaldo Luna, Tuckers Prize completed the 350 yards in :17.876 seconds into a 5 mph headwind on a sloppy (sealed) racetrack. The winner's purse valued at $9,000 boosted his career mark to nearly $180,000.

Owned-and-trained by Preston Jordan, the son of multiple stakes sire Fast Prize Dash won the 2019 Louisiana Champions Day Derby(RG3) at the Fair Grounds Race Course. He was second in the Mid City Stakes (RG3) and third in the Louisiana Classic Stakes (RG2) in 2020.

Bred by Kirby and Phillip Bruchhaus, from the Game Patriot mare BB Secrets Game, Tuckes Prize has compiled a (25) 10-4-4 record in four seasons of racing.

Runner-up One Fast Perry, a multiple stakes-placed son of Fast Prize Jordan racing for owner-breeder Eddie Harrison, got caught at the wire to finish second. Lanny Keith conditions the 4-year-old with Leonardo Rodriguez getting the riding call. One Fast Perry earned $3,000 to bring his career mark to $56,956.

El Predator, a son of All American sire Freighttrain B finished a neck back in the blanket finish to earn $1,650 for third. Owned-and-trained by Jose Barron, Jose Rodriguez rode the 4-year-old out of Told Ya by Toast To Dash. Bred by M. Zingelmann and Curtis Crewnwelge, the bay gelding has earned $59,900.

Painted By Perry, Eyeondaprize and Storm T completed the field. Rf Fast Dash N Blue was scratched.
