Jess Bein The Hero Headlines Streakin La Jolla Stakes


Swift Stakes winner Jess Bein The Hero will head five other sprinters in Saturday's 400-yard, $15,000 Streakin La Jolla Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

BOSSIER CITY, LA—MARCH 14, 2017—Jess Bein The Hero, a stakes-winning 4-year-old Valiant Hero stallion, is one of six sprinters entered in Saturday’s 400-yard, $15,000 Streakin La Jolla Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

Trained by Miguel Rodriguez for owner Juan F. Martinez-Labastida, Jess Bein The Hero will be stretching out in distance off of his neck victory at odds of 2-1 in the 350-yard, $15,000 Swift Stakes on January 28. The stallion drew post 5 and will be ridden by Santiago Mendez.

Humberto Amaro’s Tm Dees Prize drew post 6 and will be ridden by Alfonso Lujan for trainer Carlos Saldivar. A 5-year-old Fast Prize Dash gelding, Tm Dees Prize is coming off of a third-place finish, 1 1/4 lengths behind winner Cute Mic Jagger, in the 350-yard, $25,000 Mr Jess Perry Stakes (R) for Louisiana-breds on February 25.
