Stall Applications For Delta Downs’ 2017 American Quarter Horse Season Are Due March 8

Delta Downs' 46-day Quarter Horse season gets underway Friday, April 21.

VINTON, LA—FEBRUARY 21, 2017—Delta Downs’ 2017 American Quarter Horse season will run from April 21 through July 8. Stall applications for the upcoming meet are due by March 8 and all horsemen interested in applying for stalls will need submit a completed application to the track’s racing office before that deadline.

Stall applications can be obtained in person at Delta Downs or they can be printed off the track’s website at www.deltadownsracing.com under the ‘Horsemen’s Info’ section. To contact the racing office directly call 1-888-589-7223.

Delta Downs American Quarter Horse season is one of the best in the country with live racing each Wednesday through Saturday night beginning at 6:15 pm CT.

The richest program of the new season will take place on closing night, July 8 when the track hosts another edition of Louisiana Showcase Night. The special live card will feature eight stakes races for Louisiana-bred runners and the richest event of the year, the $700,000-estimated Lee Berwick Futurity.

Other highlights during the meet include the Firecracker Futurity (Gr. 2) and Firecracker Derby, the Lassie and Laddie Futurities (both restricted Grade 2) for Louisiana-breds, as well as the Old South Futurity and Derby.
